Description:
Geogia's coast is made up of the beach and the Coastal Plain.  The beach is sandy and includes sand dunes (hills made of sand) which are formed by the wind.  The Coastal Plain is a low, flat region of well-drained, gently rolling hills and poorly drained flatwoods. 
Location:
The Coastal Plain covers the southern half of Georgia and includes the major cities of Savannah and Albany.   
Wildlife:
The coast of Georgia has many types of animals.  The forested areas are populated with many types of birds, including woodpeckers, sparrows and warblers.  Larger animals include raccoons, turtles, snakes, armadillo, wild pig, deer, and many more. 
What do people do there?
People visit the beaches of Georgia for recreation and historic cities like Savannah are common tourist destinations.  The coastal plain is used for farming and logging as well as recreational fishing and camping.
